Found this while scrolling EBay reccomends. Didn't buy I just knew I had to post it. I notice they used the original GWL logo graphics at some point

Dude, great find! Funny how only the "Black" portion was removed. If it weren't for that, it would've been your standard early 2000s Great Wolf Lodge postcard.

Yeah. Kinda makes me wonder how long this particular logo was used, considering the website used a different version up until the swap to "Great" Also makes me hope we can find some more pics of Black Wolf. It's alot more obscure than GBL

Honestly the fact that anything with the BWL logo and name on it is enough to satisfy me. Kinda odd they would change it just because a golf course shared a similar name.

It is kind of odd. I wonder what would've they had never changed BWL and GBL, but opened the rest as GWL

That would've made a little more sense tbh. Plus now that I think about it, the original name fits the wolf symbol on the old GWL logo more. It's a black wolf as the original name of the resort was called Black Wolf Lodge.

Should've kept the old logo. The new one feels too commercial. The old one with the wolf seems more woodsy, and it has a wolf! Win win

Great Wolf Lodge has become more corporate ever since they started expanding in the late 2000s.

I think the ones opened the 2010's (Fitchburg onward) lack the lodge feel entirely.

Pretty much. At least they still look nice. Even if the newer lodges don't look like actual lodges anymore.

    • IK it's a late reply, but the fact the wolf on the logo is black completely went over my head, even after your comment.
