Great Wolf Lodge Gurnee, IL is a Great Wolf Lodge located in Gurnee, Illinois near the Chicago Area. It opened in 2018 and is the company's 17th location; it is located near Six Flags Great America.
Much like the lodges in Fitchburg, MA, Colorado Springs, CO, and Bloomington, MN, this location was also acquired and converted to the Great Wolf Lodge brand.
History[]

The Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL began as the KeyLime Cove Indoor Waterpark Resort which opened on February 29, 2008. On April 19, 2017, Key Lime Cove closed permanently and shortly after Great Wolf Resorts announced plans to renovate and convert the resort to a Great Wolf Lodge. The resort reopened on July 22, 2018 under the Great Wolf Lodge brand.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the resort was closed, as with most of the GWL locations; it was used to house U.S. Navy recruits for quarantining purposes during April 2020, and reopened to the public on April 24.
